Thailand Launches THB 50 Billion Rooftop Solar Programme for One Million Households

On 28 October, Thailand’s government announced details of its People’s Solar Initiative, allocating THB 50 billion to support rooftop solar installations for up to one million households, with a subsidy of THB 50,000 per eligible household. The programme also aims to reduce electricity costs by more than THB 24.5 billion annually and allow households to sell surplus electricity to the grid.
