Kazakhstan Strengthens Rare-Metal Industry Through US$3 Million International Initiative

On 30 October, Japan and UNDP launched a US$3 million initiative supporting responsible rare-earth and rare-metal production in Kazakhstan. The programme aims to improve environmental standards, monitoring and governance across the mineral value chain, creating opportunities for exploration companies, processors and industrial suppliers involved in the country's more than 120 identified mineral deposits.
